Germany: Beer sales down 2% in January-September

German beer sales in September were 7.12 mln hl, 5.4% better than a year ago, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported citing official statistics.

According to industry sources, the niche sector of beer mixes also recovered over the reporting period: sales were up 15%. However the total January-September beer sales of 71.25 mln hl are still 2% lower than in 2018.
